I really love savoury dishes and this one really appeals to me especially as there is no sugar and I think would be lovely with a warm cuppa. Suggested you serve slices buttered. From Recipe+

I came up with this egg salad recipe when wanting a light something to add to my dinner. It is great for veggie dipping and I imagine would make a nice sandwhich spread, too. I hope you enjoy!

I use vegetable broth in this recipe, but you can use chicken broth if you prefer. If you cannot find sun-dried tomato paste, you can use the same amount of oil soaked sun-dried tomatoes, just crush them well. I serve this with garlic bread topped with cheese.

This spicy warming broth encompasses all the flavours of the Far East. Substitute the fish sauce for soy sauce for vegetarians. For a meat version use chicken stock rather than vegetable stock and substitute the snow peas and bean sprouts with 1lb thinly sliced raw chicken breast, legs or thighs, cooking for 5 rather than 3 minutes.

A one pot meal I concocted in an effort to eat less meat. Quinoa is high in protein and has a great flavor. I love the firm texture of chick peas and the crunch of the just cooked swiss chard as well. I keep roasted vegetable stock in my freezer. I think there's some great recipes here for it. It's so easy and a great way to be frugal with your trimmings and peelings. 2-4 servings is a meal or a side dish (this could be either) I hope you enjoy

This is a fresh twist on the usual pasta salad. It uses crisp summer veggies, such as green onions, carrots adn cherry tomatoes and uses light cream cheese for the dressing. I came up with this recipes myself, so ingredient amounts are estimates. Adjust them to your own liking and feel free to swap veggies according to what you have on hand. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did! :)

This is a basic recipe I came up with for asian soup. You can have it as is for vegetarian soup or throw in leftover pork or chicken. You can also change the kind of veggies used to what you prefer.

These dry roasted potato wedges and dip are very tasty appetizers and can also be served as a side dish.
